the joy of giving and reaching out

with that, I smell spiced cider and roasted chestnuts in the air.
Being thankful for what we got and hopeful for our wishes to be granted, being kind and generous to the less fortunate is how I view the holidays.

I would like to thank my DA pals for inspiring me to do better each day, without whose support I would find myself nowhere.
Folks, you all have a peaceful, safe and a joyous holiday season!

Along with that would like to feature some of my latest favorites.

when the first flurries touch the soil

Its nothing but all a hazy shade of winter!
the sky's clear of the birds as they have made it home safely, someplace warm. The afternoon darkness looms around when nothing but the luminous glow of the wet ground is clearly visible. Yes, its ice-cold winter season I am talking about which brings us a lot of treasures and gifts. We just have to keep our minds open to embrace the beauty of the mysterious snowflakes.

Have a great winter season.

here are some of my favorite scenes from the season:

thats in a CITY

The melody has the charm of the unusual and the wind unless you bring them indoors. From the deep dish pizza to soulful blues, yes you got it right. I am talking abt CHICAGO.
The flamboyant folk art on display, the interior ornate walls and ceiling sculptures mixed with funky fixtures are all so mesmerising while I was enjoying that vodoo shrimp and drinking that 'walking mojo' i.e. a mojito, tapping my feet to the sweet melodies being played at the house of blues.........yes, this is Chicago to me!
the long stretch of walk on the navy pier, getting all sucked and drawn in the atmosphere, was all so effortless, beautiful, gripping, lifting and worth remembering........

If you are wondering if I clicked my camera at all, the answer to that is yes but havent had the chance to upload them so hope you'll pardon the procrastination at my end.

some graphics that I like from different deviants about the CITY for your viewing pleasure:

BODY LANGUAGE ?

Usually unconscious, nonverbal, communication through the use of gestures, postures, and facial expressions. Its an important part of interaction.

I thought it would be fun to come up with a journal with images that demonstrate a few different types of body languages.

On a positive note, being able to read these nonverbal cues may significantly help us better to understand people around us.

Here are some images carrying forms of expressions

I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do and they are simply my favorites.
I have stuck to human expressions here, although I do realise that this subject matter well extends to insects, birds and non human animals too.

Just for fun....:w00t:
